Today texting is the topic and I’m talking about how to keep texting safe and healthy in both a relationship and in families. We’ll reference an article by Christine Schoenwald featured in Psych Central who talks about the six ways it can cause problems. But I’m going to stress how those problems can be avoided or prevented — basically how you may want to think before you pick up that phone and start typing. I’ll offer five ideas of how to keep your relationship healthy and include texting within it, and five things to consider about parenting around the issues of texting.

Its message is specifically for those with a struggle with strong perfectionism which acts to mask underlying emotional pain. But the many self-help techniques described can be used by everyone who chooses to begin to address emotions long hidden away that are clouding and sabotaging your current life.
