105 SelfWork: When Comfort Eating Becomes A Problem
Today we’re going to talk about your relationship with food and I’ll share a couple of stories about my own journey there. We’ll identify the difference between comfort eating and binge eating… and we’ll discuss the fairly new field of food addiction. I’ve had several gastric-bypass recipients as patients, and have watched them, as they lost hundreds of pounds, have to deal with their powerful emotional connection to certain foods. I’ll give you some suggestions – but overall, seeking out the advice of a nutritionist is something I’d highly recommend. The two of you can come up with an eating plan that fits your lifestyle and needs.
Our listener email today is from a woman whose husband died from alcoholism and she’s trying to work through very complicated feelings about the way he lived and the way he died.
