Today’s podcast is in response to what has been a more than difficult week for many who looked up to and followed these two celebrities, Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain. If you are one of them, or certainly someone who knew them personally, then our hearts are with you. It may be however you’re one of the many people who’ve had someone they love die by suicide, and this has brought complicated feelings back to the surface. As part of my work on Perfectly Hidden Depression, I know we’re not asking all of the questions we should. We need to ask about vulnerability, and the ability to express it. If someone cannot, life can become incredibly overwhelming and tragedy can occur — as it has.

My new book entitled Perfectly Hidden Depression will be arriving November 1,2019! Its message is specifically for those with a struggle with strong perfectionism which acts to mask underlying emotional pain. But the self-help techniques described can be used by everyone who chooses to begin to address emotions long hidden away that are clouding and sabotaging your current life. More to come.
